Beauty hacks for Women

As a makeup artist, I regularly learn, research and study most things makeup/beauty related. On the journey, I have accumulated hacks I have incorporated into my own routine, both personally and professionally.

The hacks I have learned have been nothing short of mind-blowing. I learned how to make dry skin so dewy that it looks lit from within, and even something as simple as de-puffing your eyes (what we call eye bags) with ice. Whether you are a legit beauty pro or a newbie, you can always benefit from a few makeup tips. Why struggle when there’re so many easy hacks out there to make the process 100 times smoother and will give you the result you are going for? Exactly! If you don’t get it in one go, no pressure- practice!

Here are 5 hacks that will change your life:

1. Applying foundation before concealer is the simplest method to level up your cosmetic regimen. This can help minimize any redness or discoloration and provide a smooth base. Another benefit? It’s a fantastic idea to apply foundation before concealer to avoid caking and creasing.

2. When you can’t find a highlighter that’s just the right shade/shimmer, try an eye shadow instead.

3. For a popping lip and crisp cupid’s bow, first draw an “X” on your upper lip with a matching lip pencil. Then use this as a guide to apply lipstick and voila!

4. Always moisturize and prepare your face before applying any face makeup! Primer helps to even and smooth out skin by reducing the visibility of pores, blemishes and establishing a barrier between your face and your makeup. The oil that your skin produces won’t interfere with the adhesion and durability of your makeup thanks to this invisibility. Moisturizer also smooths the skin’s surface to make it simpler to apply foundation or concealer uniformly. In addition, it assists with extending the wear of makeup and hydrating the skin by giving it a more youthful appearance when worn under makeup. Remember applying foundation to dry skin can make it appear cakey.

5. Applying artificial eyelashes may easily make or break your makeup look, and when I say that you can be sure I’m speaking from experience.

Step 1: Always allow the adhesive to dry for around 40 seconds before applying.

Step 2: Place lashes where your natural eyelashes start to bulk up.

Step 3: look down and press the strip lash against your lash line in the middle, the outer edge, and the inner corner. It’s not always easy at first, but with practice you’re a pro!

May these hacks/tips prove useful to you. Stay beautiful xoxo.
